Two years ago I was charged with a felony and my lawyer and I agreed that a plea agreement was my best choice of action. Within the first year my lawyer died unexpectedly, two months before my first sentencing hearing. My family made numerous calls to lawyers in the Sarasota area and Brett McIntosh was recommended and took on my case. He is a very smart and knowledgeable attorney who was also easy to talk with. We discussed my situation at length and he explained every aspect of my case with me. He worked hard for a year through numerous postponements on my behalf and was able to get my sentence lowered. He is an excellent attorney who treated me like a person and not just a client. I made poor choices which led to my arrest and he believed in me and knew I was a good person. Thanks to him I will be able to get my life back on a positive track sooner than I hoped.

"Extremely professional"

Brett helped with a felony case of a family member. He was very communicative. His assistant kept us informed and up to date on all the proceedings. At the court you could definately see he was well respected by his colleagues. When he started on our case you could see why. I would say that you certainly can not go wrong hiring him. I can't begin to explain how much he helped us when 3 other lawyers has messed us around so badly. Truly goes above and beyond. So much kindness to those who need it

"Criminal Defense"

Brett McIntosh took on my case after I fired another attorney and he was very fair and honest with me. Most lawyers I hired previous to Mr. McIntosh would promise whatever you wanted to hear in consultation then when they received the money things would change. Mr McIntosh was completely honest with me and even gave me a discount because of the 7,000 paid to the previous lawyer. When we got to court not did he only get everything he thought he could he actually did better. In a troubling time a lawyer becomes more then representation in court they become your hope your counsler and I would recommend him to anyone.

"Amazing Attorney!"

Brett McIntosh was my attorney in a drug case in which I was arrested for four felony drug possessions. I hired Brett before I was arrested, because i knew it was coming after a long investigation. I found Brett through word of mouth. I was in a class with someone that had a similar drug possession, and Brett did incredible things for him. Brett walked me through every step of the process and really alleviated a lot of my anxiety. He discussed options, likely outcomes, and went for the best-case-scenario. When I was arrested, the booking Sheriff was filling out the paperwork and asked if I had an attorney. I responded, "Brett McIntosh." His only response while writing his name on the booking sheet was, "Good attorney." And he said it in a way that he obviously meant it sincerely. In the end, Brett's relationships with the prosecutors, judges, police and other court personnel paid off for me and I ended up with the best-cas-scenario. He got me into a program that will allow me to have my charges dismissed upon completion and not have felony drug convictions on my record. For me this was the best possible outcome. Thanks Brett.

"Case involving a Juvenile"

My 16 y/o son was facing 3rd degree felony charges for something he didn't do. After hearing Brett is the best criminal defense attorney in town, I hired him, and was not disappointed! Brett is passionate about the law and people's rights and recommended we fight this. We could've just bowed down and went thru the juvenile probation system, but what would that be teaching my son? He's a good kid & applying for college scholarships...having a record would've ruined so many things he's worked so hard for. We could not have done this without Brett. He is very professional, knowledgeable & thorough. He's very confident in his abilities, as he should be. "HOME RUN!!"

Mr. McIntosh is the best lawyer in Sarasota. I really got myself into serious trouble getting my 4th. DUI. I was referred to Brett by a close friend that I truly trust. I met with him and he was straight to the point. Letting me know just how serious a 4th DUI is. Any DUI is serious, but the 4th. one...I'm going to jail. Brett had a plan in mind from the get go, and the plan worked. He not only kept me from going to jail for a long time, but got me sentenced into a one year program built around helping me with my drinking issue. I would like to extend my appreciation to Brett McIntosh, for being in his element, patience, and a great role model. His diligence, self-motivation as well as his dedication have been a source of inspiration and confidence to work toward my legal degree. Mr. McIntosh agreed to represent me and I am 5 counties away. I originally hired Mr. McIntosh on 8/05, after 6 months of dealing with an incompetent Public Defender. The first time I spoke to Mr. McIntosh, he request a profile and listened to my version of the event leading to the arrest. For 6 months I was number 11-2018-MM-XXXX, I was no longer a person or had a name. Within one weeks of hiring Mr. McIntosh, an offer was made.
