"African American woman, confident to stand trial with a “jury of one's peers” with attorney Brette McIntosh"I would like to extend my appreciation to Brett McIntosh, for being in his element, patience, and a great role model. His diligence, self-motivation as well as his dedication have been a source of inspiration and confidence to work toward my legal degree. Mr. McIntosh agreed to represent me and I am 5 counties away. I originally hired Mr. McIntosh on 8/05, after 6 months of dealing with an incompetent Public Defender. The first time I spoke to Mr. McIntosh, he request a profile and listened to my version of the event leading to the arrest. For 6 months I was number 11-2018-MM-XXXX, I was no longer a person or had a name. Within one weeks of hiring Mr. McIntosh, an offer was made. Mr. McIntosh educate and listen to all and any questions I may have. He never coerce and was patient. On 8/20, my first court appearance with Mr. McIntosh, he elaborately introduce me to the judge, “he made the judge see me”. The day before the hearing, the judge denied his order for continuance.
