My family originally hired Brett in 1999 for serious charges, state was offering 17 years. I will never forget the day when Mr. McIntosh asked me" would you like to take the states offer or should I prepare for trial"? Without hesitation I said, " prepare for trial", that's how much faith and trust i have in Brett. Mr. McIntosh and his dedicated staff put their heart and soul in my case (which took about 2 years) had a trial jury and won! I now have my own "statue" that people in my position can use in court. Brett is one of the best trial attorneys I have ever seen, he faught for me like I was his own daughter. Just recently ,2019, I found myself in a little bit of trouble my first instinct was to call Brett and without hesitation he was there for me and everything went in my favor. "HOME RUN!!"

Mr. McIntosh is the best lawyer in Sarasota. I really got myself into serious trouble getting my 4th. DUI. I was referred to Brett by a close friend that I truly trust. I met with him and he was straight to the point. Letting me know just how serious a 4th DUI is. Any DUI is serious, but the 4th. one...I'm going to jail. Brett had a plan in mind from the get go, and the plan worked. He not only kept me from going to jail for a long time, but got me sentenced into a one year program built around helping me with my drinking issue. "Amazing lawyer!"

I unfortunately got myself into a second DUI situation that was possibly winnable, and Brett pushed it as far as he could take it, even informing me of how the police officer was going to testify to give me a chance to accept a plea agreement (which i did) . Let me remind you I could've taken this to court with a chance to win, but it would have been my word against the police officers, a risk i didn't want to take. With the plea agreement and in front of the Judge, Brett made me look great making great and valid points for the Judge to accept his offer over the states with certain stipulatioins, i'm not going into specifics but alot of people don't get half a good of deal on their first DUI. Brett was very thorough, he did a great job and well respected in the court room. He comes highly recommended by me, just hope I don't require his expertise again.
